About The Trust
The Leeds United Supporters’ Trust (LUST) are an independent, democratic, not-for-profit organisation, committed to providing a voice for Leeds United fans – wherever they are. As a board we are duty bound to promote the majority view of our members whilst keeping the fans, the club, and the local community at the heart of everything we do.
It’s why we regularly canvas the opinion of our members on all major issues related to supporting the football club, and then represent these views accurately. In our discussions with the Club both, on a one to one basis and also when we take part in wider fan meetings such as the Supporters’ Advisory Board (SAB) and the Independent Advisory Group (IAG).
Our Objectives
We set objectives as a board at the start of each year, which help to guide our actions throughout the year.
Fair Ticket Pricing for Away Fans
Whilst our promotion to the Premier League means that our away tickets should be capped at £30, the Trust will continue to campaign for fairness on this issue with not only the Club but other fan groups and clubs
Safe Standing
As we start to see clubs in the EPL apply for permission to instigate areas of safe standing, we will continue to lead the charge on behalf of Leeds fans, so that we too can have a choice to be able to safely enjoy watching our great club.
Some of our Finest Moments
In 2023 we submitted a fresh application to secure Elland Road as an Asset of Community Value, after the original one submitted by the Trust in 2017 expired. This means that Elland Road:
- Cannot be sold without community groups being informed and given a right to bid
- Cannot be demolished or used for any primary purpose other than a football ground
- Could be compulsory-puchased by the local authority or council, if it was under thread of long-term loss to the community.
Even in the club’s darkest recent times, we’ve been a global club. Fans follow the Ups and Downs of Leeds United from all over the world. The Trust isn’t just for local fans but is an international community of fans of Leeds United. We dedicate our time and effort to championing the causes that matter to all fans no matter their map co-ordinates.
Take a look on the globe below and see how small the world can be when you are part of the Trust. From American Samoa to Elland Road, the Trust is about uniting fans, because Together we are Stronger.
Meet Your Current Board
Running the Trust takes time and energy. Its done entirely by fans acting as unpaid volunteers and elected by the membership at the AGM each year.
Our Code of Conduct, and social media policy, both for our members and for our Board was designed in conjunction with the Football Supporters Association (FSA). Social media can be useful, but it does have a darker side, and we wanted to make sure our members are protected / have some recourse if they are on the receiving end of abuse.
To be clear, we are not trying to stifle criticism or constructive feedback. We simply want to prevent abuse, or cyber-bullying, from taking place within our membership. It's about working with the consideration of others and a simple mantra of ‘Be Kind’.
Joining up as a member of the Trust means you accept, and agree to abide by, all the terms.
