Virtually explore murals across Leeds.

Back in August 2017, The Leeds United Supporters’ Trust introduced the first Leeds United themed mural to the city – and it’s still there today, at the underpass beneath the M621 motorway, on Lowfields Road. The location is iconic, and one most fans will see as they walks towards Elland Road, helping leave a mark on the matchday experience. The mural was created by Jameson Rogan, a Leeds-based designer, illustrator and muralist. It features the First Division title-winning team of 1991-92 and began to contribute towards the murals which can be found dotted all around the city today.

We’ve found a new sense of pride in our team and city, which is now demonstrated through a mix of cultural impact around Leeds. It is especially noticeable in the rise in street art popping up around the city - it's almost a civic obligation to be proud of Leeds and Leeds United again. Whether it be murals, street art, burley banksy comms boxes or the local pubs and clubs all decorated out with art - celebrating the city's and club heritage and characteristics has been welcomed by most.

In 2019, the Trust decided to focus on bringing to life more Leeds United themed artwork across the city, with the aim to celebrate our club’s rich history. This is a fan funded project working with a wide range of talented Leeds based artists, with support and contributions from many local businesses is designed to re-engage the city with LUFC artwork following on from the first original Lowfield’s Road midfield mural painted back in 2017.

Since then, we’ve created a the giant 50ft Pablo Hernandez mural, immortalised on the side of the Duck and Drake Pub in Leeds City Centre, the amazing stand out Gary Speed mural at Showoff Design in Bramley Leeds by artist Poshfruit and the recent 33ft tribute to Leeds United Legends by Nicolas Dixon found in Pudsey Market.

We continue to work with business owners and fans to bring more murals to life.

Since we began working on these murals, we’ve been inundated with requests to create a mural tour map, which we now have!

We’ve also added in the nearest pub in case you want to stop off for some refreshments. If you are visiting the murals, please share you images with us on social media and we will add them to our picture gallery – tag us using #LUSTMurals.
