Welsh international Ethan Ampadu has been named the Paul Madeley Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season after a vote by Trust members.
The 23-year-old, who has featured in every Championship game for the Whites this season, received 40 per cent of the votes from Trust members, beating Joe Rodon, who saw 25 per cent of the votes, into second place. Crysencio Summerville finished third with 12 per cent voting for him.
Captain for the final day clash with Southampton, Ampadu received his prize ahead of the match from the Trust’s Pete Emmerson and Chris Harvey
It is double delight for Ampadu who was also crowned Player of the Year at the club’s awards night last month after being named in the Championship Team of the Year alongside fellow Whites Summerville and Georgina Rutter.
Ampadu’s versatility has been key for Leeds this season, with him operating both in midfield and defence for large parts of the campaign.
The Welsh international has also captained the side on many occasions this season and we wish him well as he leads the team into the play-offs.
