Welcome and introductions • Vice Chair Graham Hyde welcomes attendees to the call – no apologies were submitted
President’s Address • Trust president Simon Rix addresses the meeting and looks back on the past year
Matters arising from 2020 AGM minutes • Secretary Adam Willerton circulates the minutes from 2020’s AGM and gives attendees opportunity to read them throughout the meeting
• He explains that attendees will be given the opportunity to request amends and accept the minutes later in the meeting
Chairman’s Address • Chairman Pete Emmerson runs through the Trust’s activities since the last AGM, based around our key objectives
• Pete put on record his thanks to departing board members and formally steps down as chair pending his re-election later in the meeting
• Pete also thanks Kev Markey for his contribution over the past 3 years as he chose not to restand for election
Treasurer’s Report • Treasurer Mark Roberts presented the Trust annual accounts and runs through the headline expenditures and income
• Accounts were unanimously approved by members in attendance
Confirmation of board members • Adam delivered the results of the annual board member nominations
• Adam put on record his thanks to Alasdair Bell for his role as chair of the EMG and to Huddersfield Supporters’ Trust for their continued support with our Trust’s elections
• A contested election was not needed as Eight vacancies were declared, and five nominations were received
• Adam delivers the scrutineers report written by EMG chair Alasdair Bell
• Peter Emmerson, Clair Hufton, Mark Roberts, Oliver Murray and Josh Cawthorne were confirmed as board members following an affirmative vote
What we’ve achieved • Murals, a total of 7 murals that have been commissioned by The Trust working with Leeds based artists. More to come in 2022 – more sites and sponsors needed.
• Andy’s Man Club is our charity partner of the year, we have hosted a number of events to raise awareness and talk about their services. During lockdown we arranged a great quiz and online social night with special guest Jermaine Beckford, Ralph Ineson and the legendary Martin Hywood. We also partnered with the group on the Gary Speed mural.
• Football is for the Fans – Super Six - we were the first Trust to lead on the protests, organising the plane, banners and uniting with other trusts. We also joined all the key FSA calls and liaised with the club and our members to put a strong case forward to get this rejected. We featured in numerous newspaper articles.
• Shirts for Kids – we were proud to donate over 44 LUFC shirts to local children based at the Kidz Klub at The Holbeck. Funds donated by the Trust and the just giving page from fans.
• Partnerships – We have been working closely with LUSCOS and LUamericas
A look behind the scenes • Adam explains the work the Trust has been doing with the FSA, other supporters’ Trusts and the Premier League and explains the importance of maintaining these relationships for the benefit of all Leeds fans
2022 activity • Clair recaps the Trust’s community and supporter focused activities over the past year including the 1972 Activity, safe standing and setting new objectives
