Ex-Skipper Strachan Celebrated with Latest Trust Mural

After months of planning - and several delays due to inclement weather - we are delighted to have another mural completed featuring legendary former Leeds skipper Gordon Strachan.

The Scot, who led us to promotion to the top flight in 1990 before holding aloft the First Division Championship trophy two years later, is the subject of the 16th mural we have undertaken, adding to several others popping up in and around the city.

Located at The Holbeck WMC, opposite Holbeck Moor, the club is a popular pre-match venue for hundreds of Leeds supporters and is just a short walk to the ground for the game. They welcome fans pre and post-matches to join them so why not give them a visit ahead of the Harrogate Town FA Cup tie?

We are delighted to have worked with local-based artist Kieran Bradshaw for the first time. Check him out on socials as @brainsbybrian.

These murals wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors and even more so when they don’t live in the city. The mural is sponsored by two worldwide LUFC supporters groups – Leeds United Atlanta (part of LU Americas) and LUSCOS (Scandinavia) – who really want to feel part of our community; it’s been a pleasure working with both groups.

We are hoping to get Gordon along to officially unveil the mural in March, when members of the supporters' clubs are over in the UK. We will keep you posted when we have more information as it would be great to see you at the ceremony.
