We have been looking to add a few new faces to help the Trust deliver on a range of initiatives and are delighted to welcome Ben Brannan, Debbie Young and Chris Harvey who will be working with us in the coming months. Welcome Ben, Debbie and Chris and thanks for agreeing to join us.
We thought you would like to know more about the 'newbies' so here is a bit of info about them and what they hope to bring to the party. No surprises to learn all three are ardent Leeds fans.
Ben Brannan – Supporter Liaison
Ben (top, right) is to be the point of contact for our members and will be an advocate of both Leeds United and the supporters, representing the interests of both sides and to solve and support any problems fans may face.
His first Leeds game was the UEFA Cup semi-final against Roma in 1998, aged just 4. Since then, he’s been a season ticket holder in the Kop, the Family Stand and, more recently, the NE Corner. Like many Leeds fans, Ben’s hero is Marcelo Bielsa, having watched him turn around the club’s fortunes and bring the most entertaining football to Elland Road.
Ben is looking forward to working with fans and the club to improve the supporter experience both within Elland Road and on away days. He is passionate about representing fans to ensure they’re treated fairly, working with the club, the police, the FSA and other key partners.
Debbie Young - Membership Benefits Manager
Debbie (above, centre) will be aiming to create a wide range of enticing benefits that brings value to those who are members of the Leeds United Supporters’ Trust.
She has supported Leeds since the age of 12 and blames/thanks her dad for the ups and downs she’s had to endure as a fan since then. Debbie spent many years as a North East Corner season ticket holder but family commitments mean she’s now a loyal member who can usually be spotted in the Family Stand with her husband and kids wearing a subtle shade of pink bobble hat. Like Ben and Chris, she is delighted to have the opportunity to join the LUST Board and hopes to make sure members get great value for your annual membership.
Chris Harvey - Content and Communications
Chris (above, left) is looking to develop and implement regular communications to all Trust members through a variety of different channels including this website.
He is a lifelong Leeds fan who stood on Lowfields with his dad in the 70s and now cheers on from the Family Stand with his own wife and kids.
Chris has worked in print and digital media for many years - notably with Sky Sports and the Press Association - and was lucky enough to spend a few seasons reporting on the Whites back in the Wilko days. He hopes his media experience will help the Trust continue to spread its message to Leeds fans everywhere and would welcome any thoughts on the sort of content members would like to see.
