You voted in your hundreds for YOUR Paul Madeley Player of the Season and your winner is… Raphinha.
The Brazilian scooped the prize for the second successive year, polling 32.1 per cent of the vote to pip Illan Meslier and Adam Forshaw to the trophy.
Raphinha is United’s top scorer this term with 10 and has also contributed three assists. Incredibly he has also hit the woodwork seven times.
1st - Raphinha (32.1%)
2nd - Illan Meslier (23.8%)
3rd - Adam Forshaw (19.9%)
The winger was pushed all the way in the vote by Meslier who has produced more saves (127 to date) than any other Premier League keeper during a season where he has been called on more than any of us would like.
After almost two seasons out with injury, it has been fantastic to see Forshaw finish third in our poll after a stellar year. It’s such a shame to see his season cut short once again.
Another nominee to suffer with injury is Stuart Dallas. The Northern Irishman finished fourth in our poll and am sure you'd like to join all of us at the Trust in wishing him a speedy recovery following the horrible injury suffered against Manchester City. Get well soon Stuey!
We will be catching up with Raphinha shortly to present him with his well-deserved award.
