The Leeds United Supporters’ Trust has joined forces with Leeds based artists, Adam Duffield, Nicolas Dixon and Andy McVeigh to bring a number of Leeds United themed murals and different pieces of artwork across the city.

The Trust who previously brought the iconic mural on the Geldard Road underpass towards Elland Road, back in 2017 to mark 25 years since Leeds United won the First Division Championship and paid tribute to one of the greatest ever midfields said “It now feels the right time to continue these celebrations and share more of the clubs history around the city.”

Following the recent success of the “Bielsa The Redeemer” mural in Wortley, which was designed by Nicolas Dixon and supported by Andy McVeigh (aka Burley Banksy), plus the ‘Champions’ Elland Road mural designed by Adam which was supported by Leeds player Mateusz Klich, the Trust will work with the Leeds based artists to create and develop different style murals and pieces of artwork.

The artwork will aim to celebrate the legacy and heritage of the club, as well as moments from the 2019/2020 promotion winning season. The next one in planning is set to be in Pudsey and will be a tribute to the late Jack Charlton, Norman Hunter and Trevor Cherry – designed by Nicolas Dixon.

Adam Duffield is currently working on a design of current Leeds player Pablo Hernandez and one of his epic goal celebrations.  Andy McVeigh, famed for his colourful communication boxes around the city will also be supporting with other LUFC themed art. Other mural ideas include the Leeds player’s centenary celebration in front of the East Stand, a Gary Speed Tribute and lots more.

The Leeds United Supporters’ Trust is now calling on local businesses across the city to come forward with potential gable ends to help bring these murals to life around the city. Anybody interested should send a photo and some details of location to info@leedsunitedtrust.com.

As a not for profit group, the Trust is asking the Leeds community for donations to help fund the ongoing costs of the artists time and their materials. Nicolas Dixon, Artist said “After the amazing global success of the Bielsa mural in Wortley it’s a real honour to be able to continue to bring this artwork to life. As a lifelong Leeds fan I’m really proud to be able to combine my two passions - Art and Leeds United, I’m looking forward to being able to spread some more joy around the city.”

Adam Duffield, Artist said “As a Leeds fan it was a great honour to work with Mateusz Klich recently on the ‘Champions’ artwork outside Elland Road. I love doing this style of art and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and working with the Supporters’ Trust to bring more of this to life across the city.”

Andy McVeigh, aka The Burley Banksy said “I love brightening up the streets around Elland Road and I get so much positive feedback on my Leeds United-themed artwork on the communications boxes. I’m just happy that I can keep doing what I love doing and celebrating the clubs history around the city.”
