Adam Willerton, Secretary to the Leeds United Supporters’ Trust has today confirmed that current Board Member, Pete Emmerson will be taking up the vacant position of Trust Vice Chairman effective from 31st January, with Steve White continuing as Chairman.
Pete was unanimously voted on as Vice Chairman at the board meeting held on Sunday 6th January by all the current board members.
The new appointment is following the resignation of Robert Endeacott, who was on the Board for nearly 18 months and around 12 as Vice Chairman. Rob has stepped down to pursue some personal projects and as a very talented writer we’re looking forward to seeing some of his work in the coming months.
We’d like to thank Rob for all his hard work and dedication to the Trust, he leaves the Trust on great terms and we hope to see him back in the fold at some point in the future.
Pete who will take over the reins at the end of the month works currently as our Projects lead and will combine both roles. Pete’s background is in Research and Innovation and works for a leading global food business. He is Dad to 7yr old Lily (a Future Trust Member) and a Season Ticket holder, Pete has been a member of the Trust since May 2017 and on the board since April 2018.
Commenting on his appointment as Vice Chair Pete Emmerson said “I’m really privileged to be taking on this role and together with Steve as Chair and the rest of the Trust Board we will continue to strive to deliver for our members and fans of the club.
It’s a really exciting time for us going into the clubs Centenary year, we’ve lots to get our teeth stuck into and I can’t wait. We also want to focus on reconnecting with our members and I am looking forward to supporting this work.”
Steve White, Trust Chairman said “I’d like to thank my friend Robert Endecott who is leaving the Trust Board, Rob supported me massively when several resignations left us in a challenging position and he has worked tirelessly giving his time and resources to the Trust – I’m forever grateful. I’m now looking forward to Pete stepping up to take over the Vice Chair role and helping me to drive all our objectives for the year – there are some great projects and initiatives to come.”
